How should I connect the TV-OUT cable?
The cable end with 3 RCA connectors integrates a yellow connector for the video and white,red connectors for both sides of the stereo sound. They have to be connected to the female RCA connectors of the TV set with the matching colors.
The end with two JACK connectors integrates a yellow connector for the video, which must be plugged to "TV-OUT", and a black connector for the audio, which must be plugged to the earphones output.
Both JACK must be plugged in order to activate the TV-OUT function.
| Why can't I display my .jpg files?
Many digital cameras and image edition software add hidden data to the .jpg files. This data can prevent your MP5 from loading the images. Try to eliminate them by saving the file with another name.
| Why can't I see the image, video or text files while using the music browser?
You will only see the files in memory associated to the browsing you are doing (music files for Music, image files for Photo, etc…) To view all the files in memory at once, choose the "Browser" option in the main menu.
| Under some circumstances you may note some white noise from the built-in speaker.
Install the latest firmware version, that you can find at the downloads section, to eliminate the white noise.
| When I switch off the MP5 with the ON/OFF button, the brightness or the song I was listening to is not stored. What gives?
For the MP5 to successfully store the state, you have to switch it off with the PLAY button.
| What is the maximum capacity for the Micro-SDHC expansion slot?
32GB memory.
| Why can't I play some WMA files?
Make sure that you are not coding the WMA files with DRM.
| What's the playback time of the player?
It varies greatly depending on the playback conditions, such as earphones or speaker, or screen turned on or off. The approximate playback time of the player is 12 hours of music playback and 2 and a half hours of video playback.
| Why can't I play some MP3 files?
It's recommended that the MP3 file is compressed along some standards like MPEG1/MPEG2/ MPEG 2.5 layer 3. Otherwise, the file must be converted using a software application.
