Are you thinking of buying a gaming mouse and want to know all the specifications in detail? The new ES Gaming peripherals are designed to maximise your gaming performance when playing any video game. That’s why, in this post, we’re going to explain our gaming mice features to help you choose the one that suits your personality best.
Acceleration is the speed at which the mouse goes from zero to the maximum sensor tracking speed. It is measured in G’s. The higher this value is, the faster the gaming mouse will change the speed. In this case, the Energy M2 model features the nickname “FLASH” because of its 22 G of acceleration. A real all-rounder!
Number of buttons
The norm for a gaming mouse is to include a minimum of 6 buttons. The Energy M2 model nevertheless features 8 buttons, 3 of these side buttons. This way, you have one more button than the standard peripheral configuration which only includes 2 side buttons (usually directional buttons). The additional side button is one of the highlights and is known as the SNIPER button. If you press it, you will reduce the DPI (number of dots the mouse sensor reports to the computer when it moves one inch, thus making the cursor move faster or more slowly on the monitor screen) momentarily. As a result, the mouse will move more slowly and you will get better precision, just like a real sniper. Cool, right?
This is the frequency at which the mouse reports its position to the computer. If a mouse has a polling rate of 125 Hz, it reports its position to the computer 125 times per second. A higher polling rate also uses more CPU resources, so we recommend gamers adjust this value to their liking and the computer they are playing with.
