Ranking. The best-selling albums of the decade
It’s the end of an era. 2020 is just around the corner, which means we must take stock of the 2010s. It’s time to review the best-selling albums and the most listened songs of the decade. Get your bets in! You surely get the top spots right.
Let's take a look at the 10 best-selling albums of the decade!

2010 - Lady Gaga, The Fame Monster
She’s without a doubt the queen of the top-selling album charts. With over 6 million copies sold, this album shared the podium with Justin Bieber and Eminem albums. Some of the hits were “Bad Romance”, “Telephone” and “Alejandro”.

2011 – “21” by Adele
The queen of pop Adele produced a more intimate album, “18”, which made it to the top of the UK charts. After that, came “21”. With this album, she was deservedly crowned all over the world. With 5 million copies sold in the UK alone, the album is number one on the 40 top-selling album charts of the 21 st century in that country. What a feat!

2012 – “21” by Adele
Ta-dah! It’s no mistake. Adele was again number one in 2012 with over 9 million copies sold. That’s a total of over 24 million. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G.

2013 - Bruno Mars, Unorthodox Jukebox
The second album by Bruno Mars was top of the charts in 2013. Do you recall listening to “Locked Out of Heaven” endlessly on the radio? In addition to this hit, the album included some of his most acclaimed songs: “Treasure” or “When I Was Your Man”.

2014 - Taylor Swift, 1989
US singer-songwriter Taylor Swift got a score of 76 out of 100 on Metacritic for her 5 th album.

2015 -  Adele, 25
And another award! Adele keeps collecting top hits.

2016 - Adele, 25
Surely that’s enough! But 4 million copies aren’t enough for Adele...

2017 - Ed Sheeran, Divide
England reigns over the music world. Now it’s Ed Sheeran’s turn, with over 9 million copies sold.

2018 -  BSO El gran showman
Things were tight last year. Finally, the soundtrack of “The Greatest Showman” made it to the top with around 5.5 million copies.

2019 - ???
Our crystal ball is ready to guess this year’s best-selling album. Will it be Ariana Grande with “Thank u, next”? Or maybe Billie Eilish? Our bets are on Billie, as she’s really popular and all media follow every step she takes. There’s only one month left to get the results and discover the first albums of the new decade.
