Fans of the fast blue hedgehog with gloved hands are in luck. Why? Because Sonic Prime will be released on Netflix shortly before Christmas! The new series will see our great friend Sonic in an adventure requiring him to be faster than ever if he is to save his friends in a multiverse that is hanging by a thread, with the future depending solely on him.
The chaos caused by an encounter between Dr Eggman and Sonic causes the collapse of the universe, trapping Sonic in a series of curious worlds where anything can happen.
The new adventure of the world’s most famous video game hedgehog will be showing on Netflix
As previously with the 2014 Sonic Boom and 2003 Sonic X series, the American entertainment streamer will be the official platform to broadcast the new Sonic Prime series worldwide.
The animation studio in charge of creating this fantastic series is WildBrain, a Canadian company set up in 2006 and responsible for producing films such as Paddington and My Little Pony, along with series like Higglytown Heroes and Ben 10.
When is Sonic Prime released?
15th December 2022 is the day chosen by Netflix to release the 24 episodes that the first season of SEGA’s hedgehog will be split into.

Some of the characters who will accompany Sonic or get in his way during this reckless adventure include the evil Dr Eggman, the bounty hunter Rouge, and the incomparable Tails, Shadow and Knuckles with their sharp spikes, although the uncertainty of the multiverse may also lead to the appearance of totally unexpected characters... Who knows!
