The Internet and social networks are great since anyone can freely express his opinion or point of view. Indeed, this can sometimes become a negative aspect when talking about big news with inaccurate information that gains ground quickly. A mistake when using the Internet consists in taking for granted that a piece of news is true and has been checked. It is not the first time that rumours go viral on the Internet and in the end they turn out to be fake.
Therefore, at Energy, we found really useful the launching of the new Google tool called Fact-Check. This Google News tool will allow you to check if a fact is true or not. The process followed by Fact-Check consists in accessing the data from Schema.org organization and searching for the piece of news in webs that follow the  accepted criteria used to check data. Doing so, you will be able to avoid viral news such as the one of the journalist Vereendar Jubbal that has been proven to be fake.
As of today, Fact-Check is enabled in the United States and in the United Kingdom, so we just have to wait for the next update.
