Seven festivals that you cannot miss this summer
With summer just around the corner, here is the programme of festivals that you cannot miss. In the weeks ahead, you’ll be going to the beach, hanging with friends and partying. Add to the holiday mix a good round of gigs, and now we’re talking!
You more than likely have your mind set on one of the main events this summer. Here are the main festival billings to jog your memory. Share them with your friends and start planning your summer holidays. While enjoying all these events, don’t forget to bring along the new Energy Music Box 5+ & Energy Extra Battery Yall Edition, the ideal festival accessories this summer.

  • Vida Festival

The Barcelona coast’s not-to-be-missed annual event (held in Vilanova i la Geltrú). This year they are fully geared up to entertain you with a fully packed, international agenda: Franz Ferdinand, St. Vincent and Iron & Wine. Spanish bands include Los Planetas, Maga, Oso Leone and the main highlight, La Plata. From 28 th June to 1 st July.

  • Weekend Beach

The festival, held in Malaga province, is now in its 5 th year. It features a list of artists to suit all tastes: rock, pop, reggae, punk, and more. There’s sure to be a band you’ve been wanting to see at the venue in Torre del Mar: La Pegatina, The Offspring, David Guetta, La Raíz, Izal, Jimmy Cliff and Bunbury, to name just a few. From 4 th to 7 th July on the Malaga coast.

  • Mad Cool

This is the third time we’ve mentioned this, the ultimate Spanish festival, now in its third year. Mad Cool Festival is a huge event which is moving to its new Valdebebas site to make way for an event visited by an increasing number of festival-goers each year. This year’s highlights include: Pearl Jam, Arctic Monkeys, Queens of the Stone Age, Depeche Mode, Alice in Chains, Ben Howard, Eels, Future Islands, Tame Impala and Fleet Foxes. From 12 th to 14 th July.

  • BBK Live

The Kobetamendi venue, on Monte Cobetas, once again hosts a weekend (from 2 nd to 14 th July) to bring together the latest big names. Some of the artists that will be there are Florence + The Machine, Alt-J, The XX, The Chemical Brothers, Noel Gallagher and Gorillaz. There’s no excuse not to be in Bilbao on those dates.

  • FIB

Our festival programme would not be complete without the ultimate Benicassim event, and one you shouldn’t miss this summer. As with every year, the quality of the international top artists cannot be better, and includes: The Killers, Pet Shop Boys, Liam Gallagher, Travis Scott, Two Door Cinema Club and The Vaccines. From 19 th to 22 nd July.

  • Low Festival

For the past 10 years, Benidorm has been one of the highlights of the summer programme. Not because of its beaches or great atmosphere (or the fact that our main offices are just next door :) ), but because the Low Festival has been treating us to a top summer weekend for a decade. Top names definitely appearing this year include: Phonenix, The Chemical Brothers, Editors, Biffy Clyro, Los Planetas, Kakkmaddafakka, and Vitalic. From 27 th to 29 th July.

  • Sonorama

There’s no getting away from the fact that the main August event in Aranda de Duero is Sonorama. As chance would have it, this year marks the 21 st year of one of the summer’s most chilled-out, laid-back and enjoyable festivals. Thousands will be flocking to town, which is in the province of Burgos, between 8 th and 12 th August, to follow their favourite bands, such as: Liam Gallagher, Bunbury, Izal, Dorian, La M.O.D.A, Viva Suecia, Xoel López, La Pegatina, Nada Surf, Rozalén, Sidecars, etc. Aranda de Duero is definitely among our top summer venues.
