Tips for getting the most out of your car's Bluetooth FM transmitter

Artículo de blog
If you're one of those who still drives a car without a wireless connection on the radio, you're sure to know the advantages of having a Bluetooth FM transmitter . These devices allow you to transmit your favorite music from your smartphone, or from a USB flash drive or microSD card, via an FM frequency that the device itself is capable of transmitting. But do you know how to get the most out of your FM transmitter and get the best sound experience? Take note of these tips.

Find a radio station with no signal

To enjoy your favorite music through your Bluetooth FM transmitter, and with the best sound quality, it's important to select the correct dial on your car radio. It's best to find a dial that isn't receiving any signals.

For example, let's assume that you can't receive any stations between 91.3 and 93.0 on your car radio. Ideally, you'd set the transmitter to broadcast on the 92.00 frequency, away from the other two. Why? Because this way, you avoid hearing "echoes" from nearby stations. Don't let anything interrupt your playlist!

For long trips, use the audio output of the Bluetooth FM transmitter

The above tip is great, but if you're going on a long trip that involves changing provinces, you'll need to know another trick for your Bluetooth FM transmitter. The dials on which radio stations broadcast usually vary depending on the province. If you had tuned your transmitter to 92.0 because it was free, you may have to search for another dial when you move to another province because a local station has appeared on it. How do we solve this? Very easily: use the audio output of your Bluetooth FM transmitter (3.5mm jack connection).

To use this audio output, your car radio must have an AUX INPUT (you'll recognize it because it looks like a headphone jack or two white and red RCA connectors). If so, simply connect your FM transmitter directly from its audio output to the car radio's auxiliary input. This way, you'll avoid local stations creeping into your dials and will also provide cleaner, clearer sound.

It's true that not all Bluetooth car FM transmitters have this audio output, so it's a good idea to check this technical feature when purchasing. Have you heard about the Energy Sistem Car FM Xtra?
