Without a doubt, motivation is a key factor when practicing any physical activity or sport. And even more so when you're just starting out. In the case of running , for example, motivation is an essential ingredient to avoid giving up at the first opportunity.


Running is an activity that requires a good dose of perseverance, tenacity, the ability to overcome challenges, and determination . Many people start out because it's trendy, because their friends and acquaintances are also doing it... But not everyone who starts out continues. The risk of quitting is high, especially at the beginning.


If we're not motivated enough, we're likely to tire quickly; knee or ankle pain, laziness, or boredom will eventually win the day, and we'll end up hanging up those cool sneakers we were so excited to buy. And we don't want that to happen, do we? That's why we need motivation .


Well, few things are as supportive and motivating as a good song. Or, even better: a playlist of good, rhythmic songs with a powerful melody and inspiring lyrics. Songs that encourage you to keep running, to keep going despite tiredness, muscle soreness, the intense cold, or the sweltering heat, etc. Songs that, just by listening to them, give you the strength to go out for a run.

  • Human : Listening to this hit by The Killers and getting pumped up is all it takes. Perfect for ending your workout with that feeling of satisfaction after a good run.



  • Titanium : Another one of those songs that can't be missing from your playlist . This David Guetta hit with Sia's powerful vocals helps us set the pace for our workouts and reminds us that we can go far, even if we're not made of titanium!



  • Counting Stars : Don't be fooled by this OneRepublic song, because it starts slowly but builds up over time . Perfect for starting your workout and building up your intensity!



  • One More Night : A good warm-up is essential before you start running. This Maroon V song is ideal for warming up or for medium- to low-intensity runs.



  • Wake Me Up : Because from its first guitar chords it invites us to get up and go out and run some miles , this song by the Swedish Avicii cannot be missing from your playlist .



  • Hot N Cold : We could have played several songs by Katy Perry , but we chose this one because of its fast rhythm and fun lyrics.



  • Shake It Off : And we end with another one of those songs that encourage you to move, and how. Whether it's running, dancing, or even cleaning the house. Taylor Swift sure knows how to motivate us !
