“Hunger, hunger, hunger...” This thought has been haunting us more than usual lately. Being confined to our homes has awakened in many of us an appetite and a hidden talent for cooking that hadn't been revealed before.
For this reason, we are going to give you some recipes for you to make at home whether you are alone, with your partners, or with your family, since with a portable Bluetooth speaker and some song in between to dance, sing and have fun, it is always more fun to prepare a recipe.
Today, we're going to start with a very simple dessert that you can customize to your liking: a sponge cake!
It's a super simple recipe and we'll need these kitchen utensils:
As for the ingredients and quantities needed:
Since this is a sweet recipe, we recommend the Music Box 2+ Mint , as you can choose to play the radio or use Bluetooth to play music from your phone. We did it and it reminded us of a song we've all sung and danced to... Sweet Home Alabama. by Lynyrd Skynyrd.
And now, shall we begin?
As always, the first step is to preheat the oven to approximately 180ºC. Take the bowl, pour in the yogurt, and clean and dry the glass so that the rest of the ingredients don't stick when you measure. Add the 3 eggs and the sugar , and begin beating . When all the ingredients are well mixed, add the previously sifted flour (this step will ensure the ingredients blend better in the bowl, prevent lumps, and make the cake fluffier), the yeast, and the oil, all while beating continuously.
Now comes the fun part, the song is over… but it’s okay, the song reminded us of the movie Forrest Gump, where Sweet Home Alabama is played and also… Back in Black by AC/DC , something very powerful to get the body even more excited, turn up the volume and continue beating .
Well, it's time to get creative. In this step, we can add a little lemon or orange zest to give the cake a fresh touch, add melted chocolate if you want to make a chocolate cake, nuts, or, as we're going to do, add dark chocolate chips to make a chocolate chip cake.
Once you've added and mixed your chosen ingredient, it's time to grease the pan with a little butter. This step is important; a well-greased pan ensures the cake will come out without breaking.
We add the mixture to the mold and straight to the oven!
30 minutes of music while we wait for the cake to bake, time to dance with Elvis Presley to the rhythm of, for example , Hound Dog ... Do you remember the move the king of music learned from Forrest?
After a few dances, it's time to really unleash the speaker's power, and we put on Aquarious by The 5th Dimension, perfect for celebrating the cake coming out of the oven (remember to stick a knife in the middle of the cake, if it comes out clean it's ready, if not, let's leave it for 5 more minutes)
How did it turn out for you?
Now all that's left is to wait an hour for it to cool before trying it. In the meantime, do you have any song recommendations for our next recipe?
