Did you know you can do all these things with your Android smartphone?

¿Sabías que puedes hacer todas estas cosas con tu smartphone Android?
We know your curiosity about everything Android knows no bounds. The same goes for us. ;) And we're sure that by now you already know a ton of tricks, curiosities, and secrets about your smartphone .

But since we like to surprise you, in this post we bring you a selection of interesting functions that your Android phone is capable of , and that you may not have known about.

Are we going there?

  • Playing a video game when you lose internet connection: You're browsing with Google Chrome, and suddenly, you lose internet connection and the dreaded error message appears (yes, the one with the dinosaur). KEEP CALM, the world isn't ending. If you tap the screen once, an 8-bit game will start (similar to the old-school Super Mario, although much more rudimentary; don't expect any great flourishes), in which you have to avoid a series of obstacles by jumping. Be careful, this simple little game can be very addictive , so much so that you might end up forgetting what you wanted to search for on the internet. :D

  • Limit data usage : We've all been there, halfway through the month and almost burned through our 3G data plan. To prevent this from happening again and to better control your usage, go to Settings > Data Usage and select a maximum data usage limit . Once you reach it, your phone will notify you with a notification.

  • Zoom in on any part of your device: Yes, the most common way to zoom in on images and text is through the app, but you can also zoom in or out of any image with just a tap on the screen from your phone's menus. To do this, go to Settings > Accessibility > Magnification Gestures and enable the option. This way, you can zoom in or out on the screen almost anywhere with just three quick taps . You'll see a blue frame appear, and using your index finger and thumb as usual, you can zoom in or out. To exit this mode , tap the screen three more times.

  • Displaying contact information on the screen when the phone is locked is a really useful feature. Although having your phone screen locked (with a password or pattern) is an important security measure that we always recommend, it's also true that in certain cases it can be counterproductive . For example, in the event of an emergency or accident, or if you lose your phone , if the screen is locked, you and your contacts couldn't be reached. To avoid this situation and prevent someone from being able to contact you or someone in your circle, you can display a text with your personal information on the lock screen. How? Go to Settings > Security > Owner info. Enter the information you want to be displayed on the screen even when the phone is locked and select the Show owner info on the lock screen option.

And voilà! That's it for our tricks today. What do you think? Did you know any? Do you know any you'd like to share with us?
