How to read DRM files on your Energy eReader

Artículo de blog
If you're a fan of digital literature and enjoy using your Energy eReader, you've probably encountered files protected by DRM (Digital Rights Management), an invisible lock used by digital stores to restrict the devices you can use to read your ebooks. So, even if you purchased a book from an official e-book site, you may encounter this level of security when trying to share the document to continue reading on other devices (PC, smartphone, tablet, or another Energy eReader).

To read DRM files, we'll introduce you to the free Adobe Digital Editions (ADE) software. This is a PC program that allows you to authorize your device to read these protected files. These are the steps to follow:

  1. Download Adobe Digital Editions to your PC via this link and follow the instructions to install ADE on your computer: www.adobe.com/support/digitaleditions/downloads.html

  1. Create an Adobe ID once you've installed the program on your computer. To do so, go to .com and follow the steps to register.

  1. Once you've installed Adobe Digital Edition and created an Adobe ID, you need to authorize your PC to perform format conversions for your Energy eReader. Just do the following:

    1. Open ADE on your PC

    2. Go to the Help menu ? Authorize computer

    3. Once the process is complete, connect your Energy eReader to your PC.

    4. Press Connect on your Energy eReader

    5. Right-click on Devices and select Energy eReader

    6. Click on Authorize device

  1. There you have it! You can now connect your Energy eReader and manage your books from the LIBRARY section in ADE.
