Is it normal for the screen on my Energy eReader Pro HD to flicker when I turn the page?
This is a very common question and something that worries many users, as they think it's due to a device failure. But don't worry, because it's not. The flickering on the eReader This is due to the screen's own refresh rate , which prevents images from the previous screen from remaining on the screen. You can configure this refresh rate to occur every few pages (from 1 to 9 pages) from Settings -> General -> "Total screen refresh rate" .

How can I improve the battery life of my Pro HD eReader?
On Android, there are several processes that can increase battery consumption, especially when installing new apps. The first step is to uninstall unnecessary apps so they don't consume not only battery but also system memory. The second step, and even more important, is to disable Wi-Fi when not needed (Settings / Wi-Fi) , as you don't need it for reading.

How do I install and use the dictionary?
The eReader Pro HD allows you to install and use both commercial dictionaries from prestigious publishers and free ones created by the community, or even create your own.
To install dictionaries, connect your eReader to your computer . First, create a folder called "/dict" in the root directory of your eReader's main memory (X:/dict/), where "X" is the name of your eReader's drive. You can install dictionaries by creating subfolders within this folder (e.g., X:/dict/english_spanish/). StarDict dictionaries are generally contained in three files: *.dz (or *.dict), *.idz (or *.idx), and *.ifo. You will need to restart your eReader after installation. (See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/StarDict for more information.)
To use the dictionary, you can access the "Dictionary" application within the list of applications , or directly in the reading view, by long-pressing on the word for which you want to obtain the information contained in the dictionaries you have added, and then on "Dictionary" in the pop-up window.

Can I use the eReader with Mac OS X v10.x?
Of course! There are two ways to interact with your eReader through your Mac OS. By default, the eReader comes with the Media Transfer Protocol (MTP) enabled . This allows you to manage the eReader's content from your Mac while also allowing you to interact with the Android operating system on the eReader. In this case, your Mac needs Google's MTP drivers, which you can easily find online. The second option is to disable MTP (Settings / General / USB Connection Mode), leaving the device as a mass storage drive. You can use it with your Mac without drivers , but it will enter USB mode, and you won't be able to operate the eReader while it's connected to your Mac.
