How to silence your smartphone notifications at night

Artículo de blog
As studies suggest, the impact of light emitted by your phone disrupts your sleep patterns and prevents you from getting a good night's sleep. Therefore, one of the main tips is to mute notifications at night.
Most apps allow you to mute notifications and adjust alerts as needed. In the case of WhatsApp, you can mute individual conversations from the settings menu, leaving only the most important contacts active.

Access the DO NOT DISTURB mode on your smartphone

With Android 6.0, one of the most useful tools for everyday use arrived. With DO NOT DISTURB mode, you can choose to silence all apps or only those you mark as "priority."
To access DO NOT DISTURB mode, simply double-click the top notification bar to view the quick settings. Tap DO NOT DISTURB to select the mode. You can also select the duration for which this mode will be active on your phone. For example, you want it to activate at 11:00 PM and deactivate at 8:00 AM, only Monday through Friday. This way, you'll wake up in a better mood!
From this menu, you can access the notification priority apps panel. If you tap the gear icon that appears when you click "Priority," you'll access the settings for the apps you consider priority. You can also access this menu from "Notification Options" in Settings, select the app, and mark it as priority.
Finally, in this mode, you can also configure your smartphone to only ring when you receive calls from known numbers. As an emergency mode, calls from unknown numbers will only ring if they call several times in a short period of time.
