[ctt template="11" link="qiZAX" via="yes" ] 6 out of 10 Spaniards admit to using their smartphone more often than their traditional camera . @EnergySistem[/ctt]
What has made the smartphone the preferred device for taking photos is that, unlike a camera, we always have it with us and it takes up very little space. In fact, 89% of users say they use their phone to capture unexpected moments, in addition to landscapes or portraits that we would also capture with a traditional camera.
Indeed, mobile phones are gradually replacing cameras , especially the more compact ones. In the last five years, this phenomenon has increased with the trend of selfies and a whole range of accessories for smartphone photography.
Proof of this is that the phones now come equipped with wide-angle lenses for selfies or specific modes for the beach or snow, etc., which allow you to configure the camera to capture the best colors and obtain the best images depending on the location and situation.
On vacation, in everyday life, during sporadic excursions or on specific trips, the mobile phone becomes an essential gadget for capturing snapshots and immortalizing memories .
Furthermore, the consolidation of mobile devices has multiplied the number of images we take. Today, more photos are taken, and above all, they are taken with the intention of sharing them on social media or via instant messaging . Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp... all thrive on the photos their users constantly upload.
Aside from being able to take countless photos, we now have the ability to edit them on the fly , before sharing them with the rest of the world. Long gone are the days of having to wait for the film to be developed to view our vacation photos! And how disappointing when several of them came out blurry, dark, or excessively white, right?
That's a thing of the past: now we can instantly view the photo and choose whether to keep it or not. We can even enhance it with photo editing and retouching apps .
Nowadays, there are countless simple, specific apps that allow you to retouch a photo in less than a minute , create a collage, or add a quote. They're quick to use, require no prior knowledge, and make photography an experience. They make us feel almost like professional photographers!
In fact, photography apps are the second most used apps after messaging and social media: 75% of users say they have at least one app on their smartphone for editing or uploading photos, and 21% use them daily.
What is clear is that mobile phones have come to revolutionize the way we capture our daily lives.
And you? Do you also use your phone almost daily to take photos? Do you use photo editing apps? Do you like to share your photos on social media? Tell us! :)
