What is Glonass and what is it used for?

At Energy, we want to make technology simple and understandable for everyone. You've probably heard or read the word Glonass in a product specification.

But do you know what Glonass is and what it's used for?

We've all experienced the experience of the GPS on our tablet or smartphone not being able to locate our position, whether we're in a large city full of buildings or in an isolated location... And that's where Glonass comes in.

Glonas and GPS are two different things, but they work together to find your location so there are never any location problems.

But why do we need two geolocation systems?

The GPS on our tablet or smartphone isn't always enough to find what we're looking for, and in some countries or regions, connecting to this satellite network can be very difficult, or even impossible. This is why Energy has decided to make our geolocation services more efficient by complementing them with Glonass, as we've already begun to do with the new Energy Tablet Neo 3G.
