Do you know how to keep your Energy Phone data safe?

Artículo de blog

It's an indisputable fact: the smartphone accompanies us everywhere and has almost become an extension of ourselves . A device we can't leave home without anymore and that we use for practically everything: making calls (yes, yes... had you forgotten?), checking email, browsing the internet, chatting, accessing our social networks to see what's happening, and much more.

Smartphones are now an indispensable part of our daily lives, and we store a huge amount of data, contacts, multimedia content, and files on them. Content we wouldn't want to lose for anything in the world! And yet, all that information can be lost forever for various reasons, such as loss, theft, or device failure. Horror!

But KEEP CALM! Because we don't want this to ever happen to you, in this post we give you some tips to keep your data and files safe .

  • Make a backup : Android gives us the option to back up all our data so we can recover it at any time if we lose our smartphone for any reason, or simply if we want to transfer it from one Android device to another. For example, when we change smartphones. Yes, this may sound very obvious, but some people don't do it, either out of laziness, lack of time, etc. And then they regret it when it's too late. To make your backup: go to Settings / Backup and select Back up my data so the system will back up app data, Wi-Fi passwords, and other settings to Google servers. Also select Automatic restore so that when you reinstall an app, all the app settings and data will be restored.

  • Use the cloud services available on Android (and completely free): sync your contacts with your Gmail account , save your photos to Picassa , your large files to Dropbox or Google Drive, and your music to Google Play Music . In addition to being able to access your content from any device and retrieve it at any time, you won't be using up any memory on your smartphone. Keep in mind that cloud services consume bandwidth from your data plan, so it's advisable to upload files and data over a Wi-Fi network.

  • Use apps : There are currently several apps that can back up your Android phone. One of the most popular is Titanium Backup (both free and paid versions), although it's worth noting that you must have rooted your phone to use it. A good alternative is CM Backup , which doesn't require root and allows you to back up your contacts, messages, call logs, photos, calendar events, and alarms.

Now you know how to keep your data, contacts, and files safe. We hope you found this post helpful, and if you know of any other apps or tips for preserving the content on your Android smartphone, please let us know in the comments. ;) See you in the next post.
