• Use the notification bar : If you swipe down from the top of your smartphone screen, you'll directly access all your pending notifications. You already knew that. But what you might not know is that if you swipe down again, you'll access the quick settings . This way, you can configure or check information about certain options such as mode (normal, silent, vibration), mobile data, battery, Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth, without having to go into Settings.

• Select a word without dragging : You probably already know this, but it never hurts to remember: double-tapping a word selects it so you can copy, paste, etc. This shortcut is very simple yet very useful, as it's much more convenient and faster than having to drag your finger across the word.

• Reject a call by sending a message: As you know, when we get an incoming call, we can accept it by swiping right or reject it by swiping left. But there's more: we can reject the call and send an automatic message to the caller . How? By swiping up and choosing one of the available preset messages .

• Shortcuts for your contacts : If you've organized your address book, you can perform various functions directly from each contact's profile, such as sending a WhatsApp message or email, calling them, checking their Google+ profile, etc.
