Yes, we know, and we're with you: disconnecting isn't easy . Not even on vacation. We often can't help but check and answer emails, calls, and messages , both personal and work-related. Thanks to our smartphones, we can always be online and access email, calls, documents, information, and more at any time. And that's great... but be careful: it can become a problem if it prevents us from disconnecting and enjoying life .
As you well know, our philosophy is Life is the best technology . We believe that technology should be a tool to make life more intense . That's why, at Energy Sistem, we're committed to making good use of technology, without sacrificing all the good things life has to offer.
Summer is the perfect time to rest and relax , to spend time with family, friends, pets, leisure time... In short: make the most of every moment! Even if that means turning off your phone and forgetting about Facebook, Twitter, email, and WhatsApp for a while. It's okay!
That's why, in this post, we give you 4 keys to disconnect from technology and enjoy summer to the fullest .
- Limit your internet connection : How? Set a schedule for connecting . In the summer, what keeps us connected to work the most is internet access, ahead of calls. Especially email. It's best to make it clear to your employer that we won't be online during vacation. However, if you still have to answer an urgent email, try to limit the time you spend on this task and use your free time to do other things.
- Silence your smartphone: Yes, yes, you read that right. Silence your phone. Surely nothing will happen! However, if this isn't an option for personal or professional reasons, at least turn down the volume or leave it on vibrate so as not to disturb the summer peace of your companions.
- Don't overuse games and apps: Disconnecting means disconnecting, and this includes games and other leisure apps. Summer is a time to take a break from routine and the tasks and activities we do the rest of the year. No matter how addicted you are to Pokémon Go, remember that summer vacation is only for a month. Take advantage of it to do other things! Spend that time with your family, with your partner, exercising, traveling, reading, going out for drinks, going to the movies ... The Pokémon will still be there in September, when you return... We promise. ;)
- Disconnect from social media too: This is probably the hardest part. The second-largest time-consuming apps for smartphone users are social media: Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, etc. We know you love sharing vacation details with your friends and followers: a trip, a dinner, a concert... Okay, but don't miss out on those moments just because you want to immortalize them . Live them first, then, if necessary, share them. Don't you agree?
What do you think of these tips? Are you going to try to at least unwind a little this summer? Let us know in the comments, and if you found this post interesting, feel free to share it ! :)
